TRANSFORMING LIVES WITH APHERESIS: DISCOVER THE LIFE-CHANGING IMPACT

WELCOME TO THE CANADIAN APHERESIS GROUP

At the Canadian Apheresis Group (CAG), we believe that education, evidence-based research, and practice are essential as we aspire to advance apheresis medicine and promote collaboration and support from like-minded organizations and individuals. Formed in 1980 under the auspices of National Health and Welfare, Canada, the CAG includes representatives from all across Canada. We welcome healthcare providers and practitioners to be a part of our group and work towards the goal of providing advanced medical care. With our office located in Ottawa, we have more than 40 apheresis units in 19 major medical centres in Canada.

A GROUP OF PASSIONATE HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS

The apheresis process separates whole blood into plasma and its cellular components. A specialized device is used for the process. Apheresis is widely used for plasma exchange, red blood cell exchange, stem cell collection, leukapharesis, photopheresis and lymphocyte collection. At the CAG, we are always looking to collaborate with medical professionals who share our passion for research in the field of apheresis and  for finding treatments for various diseases.
